The car will still be sponsored by Red Bull, will use a Ferrari engine for next two seasons, and will switch to a VW engine in 2018. Did we skip straight to April Fool’s Day overnight?

Here’s a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , which uses the BBC’s own Eddie Jordan as the primary source.

Lately this has been a bit like mid-engine Corvette stories, but with Eddie Jordan going out on a limb for it, maybe it has some validity.

As annoyed by the guy as I am, Eddie has a damn near 100% success rate with regards to claims like this. Remember when he called that Lewis Hamilton will be leaving one of the best teams on the grid to go over to a floundering Mercedes and everyone lulzed? There was no way that that was going to happen either.

I’ve always loved Eddie. he’s the colorful, successful, and well-informed loony but cool dude in F1....

As sad as I am that he’s not a team owner anymore, I love his commentary and writing

Yeah, I get the feeling that in person he’s a blast. I just don’t really like him as a presenter/personality. I actually prefer the Sky coverage (mostly because Brundle, but also because Davis and Kravitz), but I’m not paying a license fee for the BBC because America and didn’t grow up waiting for Fleetwood Mac to play on BBC F1, so maybe I’m just not sentimental enough to give a shit.

That seems pretty likely. Sort of like Red Bull really being Infiniti Red Bull.

Why not Volkswagen Audi Redbull, or VAG Redbull or VAG Red or VAG Bull.
